Crisp and cool temps greeted the shooters at the Rockingham Gun Club Saturday October 22nd. Carolina blue skies and just a slight breeze blew all day. We noticed a fallen leaf whirlwind behind trap 1 that lifted a bushel of leaves high into the air.
We didn't have a big crowd but we had some good scores. Charley Rinehart led all shooters with a solid 99 in the singles event. JC Nunn nipped 27 yard shooter Keith Ansley by one bird to win the caps. Ronnie Manuel broke a 49 on the first trap and fought the second 50 for a 43 and a 92 to win the doubles. He also won the Hoa honors also.
All in all everybody had a great time and a few shooters stuck around to shoot some practice. Mark your calendars for November 12th for the next registered shoot at the Rock. Also our next Lewis Class "non-registered" shoot is the 20th of November.
