Watauga June 26 2010 ATA Shoot

I don't think they have made words for the day we had in the mountains on the trap field. We had one great group of young men roll in for some real fun on the trap range. I think Lane Murray and Don Kaufman gave them direction and lead one of the greatest group of young shooters up out of the Piedmont. Kids like J.C. Nunn and Elmo Matkins out smacking targets just like they had done it all their lives. Everyone should take notice and follow the wisdom of the elders and come to the mountain in the summer months. Out of 17 shooters we had 10 vets and senior vets shooting. What a day!

Little breeze and cool very low eighties in the weather. I heard remarks of putting on shooting coats and I should have packed my long pants.
