North Carolina State Shoot 2011 Score Boards

2011 NC State Blurb

Greetings from Forrest City NC and we hope you are doing well. I will cover a few items since we arrived Thursday we don't really have any info from Wednesday.
When we arrived Thursday it was scorching hot. It was miserable but folks were still breaking great scores. I have posted all of the score boards of the winners except for Friday doubles.

I am having issues bulk uploading my 126 pictures so I just posted the scores. Jeri Wilson does a great job with those and it is really easy to see who won what.

Thursday night after the caps shootoffs a storm rolled through the NC mountains and it was a violent storm. We finally made it to Scoggins and had to eat with no lights in the establishment.

That storm produced hail and shredded all kinds of leaves in the Forrest City area. It also shredded and broke several shelters (10x10's) on the club property.

One great thing is that it really cooled things down and that was mighty fine as Elmo would say. That leads into Friday and it was much nicer than Thursday for sure.

Friday was a much cooler weather day with a moderate breeze all day. It was nice in the shade and folks that wouldn't sit on the front porch in the rocking chairs Thursday was rocking all day Friday.

I won't go into detail about who all shot what or who won what except for Chase Reese. That little fellow broke a 98 in doubles today and he mashed the fire out of them.

Hopefully I will be able to upload all of my pix tonight and that will allow you to see who shot what. Not sure why they won't bulk upload?

The Hot Dog supper was a hit and Bob Schultz did a great job on the grill. He even put George Sudderth to work on grilling all of those dogs. Next year they might need to cook a few more because some folks that were in the shootoffs missed out.

They had a miss-n-out and it looks like they raised some more money for the Homegrounds. I didn't stick around to see who won it and will post the results Saturday.

We apologize for not getting anything up last night but it just didn't work out..

I am not sure of whether the attendance is either up or down but we should know something real soon.

Weather for the weekend looks HOT and thank goodness for 200 target days! Folks are doing everything they can to stay cool and the cluhouse has been feeling great.

Have a great weekend and we will hope to pen a few words Saturday night for your viewing pleasure.

I would like to send a shout out to Camper Dan for getting me on the ball....
