Karole Miller's Easter Egg Hunt Shoot Scores From Buckhorn

Post by smokem »

Great weather prevailed Sunday for the Karole Miller Easter Egg Hunt Shoot at the Buckhorn Gun Club. Even though the sun was shining the Buckhorn wind was blowing all day at the club. Jimmy Wilson managed to win the singles, doubles and the HOA leaving only the caps for Tim Crabtree to win. It got so warm Jimmy was thinking about donning his shorts but his tanning towelettes failed to arrive before the shoot from QVC.

All in all everybody had a great day shooting on Easter Sunday and Jimmy really enjoyed the 3 pans of Easter cupcakes prepared by Karole Miller. Jimmy got his own personal pan of cupcakes and finished them up tonight with a cool glass of milk. He would also like to thank Gail Kanas for the wonderful brownies that she prepared.

Sub Junior Braxton Ragan has been shooting good and even tied his mentor Richard Drake in the handicap event. It is always great to see new young shooters and hats off to Richard Drake for bringing him along.

Jimmy gave me a little info about how the targets were flying Sunday and mentioned that Tim broke a target off the left side of trap three that he broke down the bank. He actually broke the bird below the level of the traphouse. Jimmy missed 3 out of the first two pairs shooting doubles. He called for a pair and they were super flat and then he asked for another pair and they looked ok. He called for his pair that he was going to shoot and somebody turned the field fan on because this pair shot skyward.

Mr. Wilson would like to thank the BGC faithful for working and to all that attended the shoot. Mark your calendars for May 7th & 8th when Buckhorn hosts a two day shooting event.
