I hope everyone enjoyed the Memorial Holiday weekend. Not to forget the sacrifice men and women in uniform made to keep this nation free and strong. We honor the fallen and pray for the families that lost their heroes.
Three shooting events over the holiday weekend including CCLEOA, Watauga and Old Hickory at Rocky Mount. I have posted the CCLEOA winners and hope to get the Old Hickory info to post next week.
One shooting event this week and it will be held at the Buckhorn Gun Club this Wednesday at 11AM with shooting to begin at noon. It is a BIG50 format and the weather looks good for Wednesday.
The Mathis Cartel descended on the Mississippi State shoot in Biloxi last week. They survived the wind and torrential rain and lightning delays to secure quite a few awards. I have posted all the info in the Out-Of-State shoot info section so go take a look. There next stop is the Alabama State shoot that will be held at the South River Gun Club in Georgia a week before the NC State Shoot.
Only 15 days to the North Carolina State Shoot at the NC Homegrounds. It sure would be nice for these cooler temps to continue and for the weather to dry up. Of course, it is June and maybe a little later in the month than normal. If you wanted to attend the TN State Shoot you are out of luck because it is on the same week as the NC State Shoot?
I received my shoot program last week and it looks great. I counted about 21 ads in the book and Greg High is trying to sell his 5th wheel camper so take a look.
Watauga shot Saturday and it looked like they would not be able to shoot due to the heavy rain in the area. Shawn Reese won the singles, handicap, doubles and the HOA. 96/92/94=282x300 Watauga shoots next on June 27th…..
