Oh yes the end of summer and the thought of cool crisp mornings are right around the corner. The “End of Summer” shoot at the Rockingham Gun Club was held today amidst sunny skies and brisk breezes.

We had shooters from Virginia and Tennessee along with the local NC faithful. We didn’t have a huge turnout but we appreciate all that attended today. This was also the first shoot that ERAD wireless voice releases were used in registered competition.

We managed to start almost on time and everything ran smoothly using three traps for singles and caps. The lunch was great with BBQ, beans, fudge brownies by Natalia and Peach cobbler by Lee Ann. Scott Shoulars manned the lunch prep and we appreciate all the efforts.

Singles was paced by Mr. Perfect Jimmy Wilson, handicap found local Lane Murray with a ½ yard punch and Tommy Brown won the twins and the HOA. When the sun was out it was great but when the sun was obscured by clouds it was rough!!

Again – thanks to all that came to shoot and to those that helped make it happen. Ft. Bragg will shoot in the morning so head down there and tell them Freddy sent you!

Also – thanks to Marty Wood for getting Richard Colley down from the hills of TN. He is always fun and one heck of a shot!
