A great crowd showed up at the Rock today for the montlhy Lewis Class Fun Shoot. 19 shot the 100 target program and the weather was absolutely great.

Singles found one 50 straight and that was broken by the ageless tailgunner JC Nunn. Charley Rinehart and Don Kaufman broke 49's and Glenn Brewer, Lonnie Campbell and Chris Shoulars broke 48's. Lonnie broke a 23 and a 25 shooting a 20 gauge Beretta!!

Handicap netted one 46 Glenn Brewer, two 43's JC & Freddy. Three 42's Steve & Lewis Wyatt and Martin Carter. The wind never really played with the targets until the last few squads of the handicap.

High Gun turned out to be Glenn Brewer with a solid 48/46 and all with a 7/8 ounce load. He broke his 46 from the 26 yard line and all I can say is hello 27 for the April shoot! JC Nunn had it in the bag after a solid 50 in the singles and then he slid off the porch. JC wound up with a 93 and nothing to show for that effort.

The Lewis Class winners are as follows: Top Lewis Glenn Brewer - Mid Lewis Chris Shoulars, Martin Carter, Freddy Redmon - Low Lewis Steve Wyatt & Norman Parrish.

Trap chairman Tom Cox would like to thank everybody that attended and everybody that pitched in to help. The BBQ lunch was good as always and I never did get a slice of that chocolate cake.

The Rock did host a mini-doubles marathon and had two 100 target events. Scott Hanes - Michael Johns - Charley Rinehart & Roger Shaffer shot the events. Mike dropped out after the 1st hundred but broke a solid 43 on his first 50.

We would have had 20 shooters today but Roger "Hammer" Haney decided to sit out this shoot to allow other shooters the chance to win at the Rock. He wants to promote good will among the club members and he felt that him winning all the time would keep people away:-)
