Good morning and a great weather weekend in the Tarheel state. Several shooting events over the weekend and the Southern Grand wrapped up Sunday. Several events this week including a BIG50 on Wednesday at the Buckhorn Gun Club.
Charlie Brown Gun Club hosted a BIG50 Saturday, and it looks like the weather was great and the scores were also. Horace Best won the singles with the lone 50 straight, JR Caleb Watkins won the handicap and missed a punch with a 47 and Megan Smith won the doubles with a 44 and the HOA with a 135x150.

Sai Konda won Singles with a 99, Greg Robinson and Sai Konda tied for Caps with a 94 (earning a half yard punch), and Shawn Reese won Doubles with a 95. Mark Cox was our HOA with 280/300.
The Southern Grand just wrapped up and several shooters got it done in Odessa. Looking forward to this week Buckhorn will host a BIG50 this Wednesday and I believe they register at 11ish. Saturday Old Hickory Rocky Mount and Watauga will host 300 target program events. The weather looks great for Wednesday but there is a chance of showers on Saturday.
Phil Berkowitz gave me a call last week and reported that he wrecked his Benz station wagon and now is the proud owner of a Subaru Outback. He did not make it to the Southern Grand but hopes to shoot in the Florida State shoot championship handicap on Sunday.
John Sandell is about to head back North around Easter and hopes to find a gun club to shoot at on the way back home. Not sure if we will be able to meet him and Grace to shoot but you never know.
