July 8th Smoke Report

Post by smokem » Sun Jul 07, 2019 7:43 pm

Hot is the word and the storm that rolled through Jamestown Sunday night was something. We need the rain but not quite that fast amidst the lightning. Big shoots over the weekend including the VA State and KY State shoots. Here is the link to the NCTA shoot calendar and 4 BIG50’s and two registered shoots this weekend. Mash on this link - http://nctrap.com/shoots2017.pdf

I did a little looking at the VA State and KY State shoots and wow some great scores were broken. KY had 230 singles shooters for their Wednesday preliminary event. SC shooters were in KY and Jim Faber shot well in the championship singles Saturday. Here is the link to those scores and info - http://www.shootscoreboard.com/menu.cfm?shootid=816

Also, there were more NC shooters in VA, and they shot well. Noah Gouge, Brian Kellner, Charlie Brown, Larry High, Jeff & Hunter Galloway and I am sure there were more. Here is the link to the scores from VA - http://www.shootscoreboard.com/menu.cfm?shootid=775

The Southern Zone is just a few weeks away and I know folks that missed the State are going to show up to get ready for the Dixie in October. Word on the street is that speakers will return to the NC Homegrounds. Evidently the rain at the state created a real issue for the wireless ERAD devices. Not sure exactly when they will return but they are coming. The cross calls from adjacent fields will return so be sure to pack some soft cozies for the posts 1 & 5….. Ok that is it for this week and I hope everybody has a great week. I really enjoyed being off for a couple of days and then the weekend. Hello to Lou, Scott, Lewis, Ronnie, Cowboy and Anne and until next week……………….smokem

Almost forgot the prayer list and they include Jan Schultz, Carolyn Keever, Bob Goodman, Lewis Wyatt and I am sure there are more...….
