Looking Back At The Wing Fling In 2011.....

Watauga Famous Wing Fling Scores

Were too start, do I start with the weather, or maybe the shooting, or I could take off with the food. I believe I will start with just as they lined up. The weather, how better to explain the day as perfect, the day started off with a heavy frost on the ground and a lazy smoke rolling over the valley. Then the sun rolled up and we were under a clear blue sky the rest of the day. Just a great day to be outside an on top of the mountains.

The shooting was next on the list and I must say the competition was pretty heated. Singles ended with Tom Shelley and Jim Jacobs hosting a 98 into the house for high honors. Then in Handicap Lewis Wyatt got the sleep out of his eyes and posted a 92 for top dog. Then on into doubles and Bam Bam Sudderth went to showing off and posted a 96, and that was with four misses on the first two post and the rest was history.

Now for the food, John Waters came in and fixed some mighty fine chicken wings. And Sheila showed off a little and put a meal together that would be hard to beat. A great meal and I think everyone had a great time. I believe Lewis got some pic maybe he will get them into Freddie an get them posted.

Now for some scores
