The word for the day at Fort Bragg was HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Despite the prospect of
the thermometer topping 100 degrees, a good crowd of 22 shooters showed up to break
some clay targets in the Sandhills. I heard a skeet shooter remark that only "Real"
trapshooters would should in this kind of weather, but since he was just shooting
"practice" skeet I didn't pay much attention to his comment. Chase Reese showed
everybody how to shoot in the heat by posting a 99 in Singles. Marty Hill had to be
talked into shooting and ended up posting the high score in caps with a 93( only 14
shooters, so no punch for Marty:) ). Kevin Parrott took time out from his internship
at Duke to post a 98 in Doubles. A special thanks to George Brown, John Kerns and
Greg High for scoring and loading on what had to be the hottest shoot we've had this
year. Now for the rest of the story.
