Good Labor Day morning to you and hopefully you are not laboring on this day. Nice weather weekend in NC except for some hefty storms that blew through the are Saturday and Sunday. It was steamy on the way to church on Sunday.
Buckhorn shot two days, and I have info on the Sunday shooting only. Mark Cox and John Miller posted 99’s in the singles, James Brown led all handicap shooters with a 94 and Joe Nalley led all doubles shooters with a 94. It looks like Mark Cox took the HOA with 99/92/92…. Hopefully we will have the Saturday info to report next week.
Currently not shoots in NC this week/end until Rockingham shoots the 14th for their Memorial Shoot. Sunday both Rockingham and Charlie Brown hosts BIG50 events on the 15th. The Dixie Grand cranks up the 24th and runs through the 29th. www.PreSquad.com is open and make sure to get signed up for this great shoot at the North Carolina Homegrounds.
With Fall just 20 days away shooting in cooler temps is always nice. We lucked up going to the Grand the second week Tuesday through Saturday and the weather was great and much cooler. Hopefully we will get to attend some of the shoots in NC and VA this Fall and some winter shoots also. I am going to try to shoot more this year and might even get back to shooting doubles.
That should do it for this week and I hope everyone has a great Labor Day. Hello to Scott, Ronnie, Cowboy, Tim, Bobby, Phil, Mac, John, Will, Mark, Thea and Anne and until next week…….smokem
