Shooters from Asheville to Wilmington showed up this morning to shoot some clay targets and to eat some turkey. At 8:00 am it looked like we had a light snow Friday night, but the frost disappeared and it turned into a real nice day. The scores posted didn't turn out to be as nice as the weather and I really don't have an excuse. I myself did not miss a target all day, but then I didn't shoot at any. I did manage to cook three turkeys with dressing, gravy, corn, green beans, rolls, apple cobbler, vanilla ice cream, and butter pecan ice cream. The shooters might not have left wanting to break more targets, but they didn't leave hungry. George Brown led all shooters in singles with a 96. Jon Miller topped everyone in caps with a "84" and earned a 1/2 yard for his effort. Jon Miller and Tom Brown tied in doubles with an 89 ( Jon won the flip). And now the rest of the story.
