Tis the season to be jolly and we appreciate all the folks that showed up to shoot at the Toys For Tots shoot at Buckhorn. The two day shoot was blessed with Carolina blue skies both days and a super brisk COLD wind Saturday. I believe Tom Shelley said he was still cold when he got back home. Sunday weather wise was a much warmer day and the scores were a bit better for sure.
Saturday there was a three way flip for hi-gun with Ronnie Manuel winning the event. Actually Addison Callan had the high score with a 97 to set the record straight. John Miller won the caps with Morgan Shaw winning the doubles and the HOA. I guess George and Tom were glad they stayed in the hills because Morg was the top wind-breaker Saturday for sure.
Sunday there was another three-way flip with Winky Mabe winning the 3-way flip. Kevin Parrott won the caps and the doubles with Richard Drake taking the HOA honors for the day. Braxton Ragan shot his 1st registered doubles targets today and he broke more than he missed which is great.
All in all everybody had a great time and it was good to see all of the toys piled up on the table in the clubhouse. I have asked Jimmy to get me a picture of the final haul of toys for the old digital scrapbook. The shoot ran smoothly and two fields were used for the singles and the caps on Sunday.
Jimmy would like to thank everybody that attended and all the folks that helped run the shoot. Please remember Andrew Carroll during his time in rehab and I heard that Gail Page is under the weather.
Buckhorn will shoot next on the 4th of December and will ring in the new year with an event scheduled for January 1st. We hope that you will be able to attend these trapshooting events.
