July 6th Smoke Report

Post by smokem »

I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July Holiday. It sure was hot but hey it is July isn’t it. Buckhorn shot Saturday and Sunday and hopefully someone will post the shoot scores.

I will post links to the NCTA shoot calendar and the BIG50 calendar. Hopefully, clubs will post their shoot programs on the website or on Facebook. Here is the NCTA calendar - http://nctrap.com/shoots2017.pdf
BIG50 - http://nctrap.com/nc_big50.pdf

The Southern Zone is a few weeks away and here is the link to the program - http://nctrap.com/sz2020.pdf It will be held at the NC Homegrounds July 16-19, 2020. Should be a great time and a good time to shoot at the HG before the State Shoot at the end of August. Also, here is info that NCTA President Marty Hill posted on Facebook regarding pre-registration etc.

The Southern Zone telephonic trapshoot is scheduled for July 16 - 19 at the NC Home Grounds in Bostic, NC

Presquadding is available on presquad.com starting Thursday June 18th at 7:00 am. I strongly recommend that you presquad for this shoot. After you presquad I will classify you according to averages and yardage on the ATA website. Category shooters should send me an e-mail at mhill76@aol.com declaring their category.

By doing this we should limit the face to face interface with the shoot personnel. You will be able to skip classifying and squadding and go straight to cashier. I also recommend you pay for all your shooting at one time. Remember you can always get a refund with no questions asked if you request before the event starts.

Due to health concerns there will be limited access to the Club House and we ask that everyone practice social distancing.
Thanks for your understanding during these difficult times and we look forward to seeing you at Bostic in July.

Marty Hill NCTA president

The Kentucky State Shoot is in the record book and NC shooters did show up and participate. Morgan Shaw, Jason Dancy, Brian Kellner and the Cantrell brothers all shot in Berea. Not sure if anyone came back with any trophies but I will check. Here is the link to all the scores from the shoot - http://shootscoreboard.com/menu.cfm?shootid=902

That is about it for this week and the Georgia State Shoot is this coming weekend with a two-day format. Hello to Lou, Scott, Ronnie, Cowboy and Anne and until next week…….smokem
