February 3rd Smoke Report

Post by smokem »

Monday the 3rd of February and the weather is marvelous. I hope you are enjoying your Super Bowl Monday in North Carolina. Saturday was a little gloomy and Sunday was clear and super windy. Either way I hope you got out to spread a little lead this weekend.

The NCTA calendar is slowly filling up and I noticed Charlie Brown is shooting this year. That is great with Ft. Bragg, Coharie and Gastonia no longer registering targets the more clubs that register targets the better. Here are the links to the NCTA calendars. The NC Homegrounds is looking to add two more trapfields and they need your help. Any donations are appreciated and the sooner they get the funds the sooner they can get to work. Anyone that has shot at the Homegrounds can testify that it is one of the nicest clubs around. Trapshooting takes time and the more fields they have the quicker they can run the event.

Brandon Cantrell took a trip to the Spartanburg Gun Club Saturday for their monthly shoot. He shot his first events as a Junior and managed to get a punch to the 27-yard line. He hasn’t been shooting that long and getting to the 27 is quite and accomplishment.

Dan Johnson had a birthday last week and Happy Birthday Mr. Johnson. Dan contributes to this site regularly and does a great job posting the shoot report for the Buckhorn Gun Club. He just recently got on Facebook and that is amazing in and of itself.

Have a great week and enjoy the warm weather while it lasts. Oh, I did read where Lewis and Sandy Wyatt celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary and congrats to them. Hello to Lou, Scott, Lewis, Ronnie, Cowboy and Anne and until next week……..smokem
