January 27th Smoke Report

Post by smokem »

Good morning and I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Not too hot and not too cold and is it really winter? I imagine that the cold weather is right around the corner so get ready.

I noticed on Facebook that Ken and Joy Duncan are celebrating 51 years of marriage and congratulations to them. I posted a picture of the couple at the 2004 North Carolina Hall Of Fame Shoot. We sure miss the pair around the Homegrounds and they were so instrumental in the creation and management of the Bostic location.

NC shooter Noah Gouge is looking for donations to send his Lindenwood shooting team to the Collegiate Nationals. http://www.p2p.idonate.com is the website you can use to donate.

February is upon us and Buckhorn hosted the last shoot in January. Dan Johnson posted the shoot report so be sure to go take a look the writeup for the event. Remember there are two calendars for NCTA shoots. The typical 300 target events and multiday shoots and the BIG50 calendar. Here are the links for those calendars. The first multiday shoot at the NC Homegrounds will be the Hall of Fame shoot. 4 days of trapshooting in the North Carolina mountains. Jeff Galloway will be inducted into the HOF on Saturday night so please make plans to attend. The Hampton and the Holiday Inn Express are good places to stay and the HIX has been recently updated. Also, the Old Hickory Gun Club will host their Friday night BBQ dinner with all the fixins.

Ok that is about it for this week and I hope everybody gets a chance to get out and shoot. Hello to Lou, Scott, Lewis, Ronnie, Cowboy and Anne and until next week……..smokem
