November 18th Smoke Report

Post by smokem »

Wonderful weekend in North Carolina if you like wind and cool weather. I believe Appalachian Ski Mountain is open for business and opening early for the first time in many years.

Old Hickory at Rocky Mount shot Sunday and a hardy crowd showed up to brave the elements. Nathan Snyder won the singles, doubles and HOA and broke his 93 in doubles with a Model 12. Doyle Thigpen won the caps with a 88 and missed a punch with only 10 entries. Marty appreciates all that attended and all that pitched in to help.

NCTA Secretary Donna Cornett advised me that there are two calendars for trapshooting in NC now. One calendar shows all the typical 300 targets programs and multiday events. The other calendar captures all the BIG50 events across the state. I have included the links for both and there are some 2020 events on the calendar. BIG50 - http://nctrap.com/nc_big50.pdf

Not much going on this week and not too far away from thanksgiving. Everybody getting ready for that big meal and maybe it will be cold and not 65 degrees. Not sure what year it snowed on Thanksgiving Day but that was a switch.

I hope everyone has a great week and hopefully you can get out and shoot a little before it gets too chilly. Hello to Lou, Scott, Lewis, Ronnie, Cowboy and Anne and until next week……..smokem
