May 7th Smoke Report

Post by smokem »

Good morning everybody and what a great weekend to shoot in North Carolina. Some rain but you sort of expect it in early May. Georgia State shoot is in the books and I can’t find scores on trapshooters.com. Couple of shoots this week with LCP, BGC and RCGC shooting. Here is the NCTA shoot calendar link - http://www.nctrap.com/shoots2017.pdf

Prayers for Jan Schultz, Carolyn Keever, Lewis Wyatt and Bob Goodman. I talked with Lewis Sunday and he said he was hoping to make it out to the shoot this weekend. He has been experiencing some respiratory issues and hopes to get stronger so he can get out and shoot.

NC State Shoot is just a month away and you should have gotten your program by now. I will include the program link below and I have posted the program on the Facebook page also and here it is - http://www.nctrap.com/stateprog.pdf

I called Tammie Wilkins Sunday to check on a camping spot for a friend and she said they are getting everything whipped into shape for their 5-day shoot. If you attended the Hall of Fame and enjoyed the cashiering provided by Tami Daniels you are in luck because she will be in South Carolina also.

I mentioned maybe that Rockingham County installed a new Wobble Pat trap and they got it wired for erads and Canterbury’s Sunday. Three fellows shot the wobble for the first time and they were Ronnie Manuel (broke 1st bird), Tommy Brown and Hunter Galloway. We will be running 6 traps for the SCTP shoot this weekend and we hope all goes well….

Ok folks that is about it for now and I hope everybody has a great week. Hello to Lou, Scott, Ronnie, Lewis and Anne and until next week……………………Smokem
