KINGSPORT - Richard Colley, 62, of Kingsport, passed away Saturday, October 20 after a short battle with cancer.

He enjoyed motorcycling and trapshooting. He was a wonderful husband, father and brother with a keen sense of humor.

Richard was predeceased by his parents, Burk and Nannie Tipton Colley; brother, John Colley; and parents-in-law, James M. and Emogene Eaton.

Richard is survived by his wife, Judy Eaton Colley; son, Justin Colley and wife Taylor; daughter, CPT Caitlin Colley; brother, Stony Colley and wife Brenda; sister, Margaret Bear and husband Bobby; brother, Holiday Colley and wife Eva; sister-in-law, Margaret Colley; several beloved nieces and great-nephews; and special friends, Phil Bear, Wayne Wills, Marty Wood and Willie Hodges.

A memorial will be held at the Millstone in Limestone, Tennessee on Wednesday, the 24th of October at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of one’s choice.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Wellmont Cancer Institute and the nursing staff of Holston Valley Medical Center for the care they provided to Richard over the past several weeks.
