The Buckhorn Gun Club held a two day shoot over the weekend with dinner on the grounds Saturday night. Jimmy Wilson said the pig started cooking early Saturday morning and got to smelling awful good about lunchtime. Saturday the weather was warm and the wind was tricky at times. Sunday the rain came and the start time was pushed up to 10:15 with all shooting ending around two.
There was a handicap shootoff Saturday night between Karole Miller and Winky Mabe. Jimmy said the weather was perfect for shooting and Winky was the eventual winner. Sunday Braxton Ragan was egging on Karloe Miller a little bit and Karole wore him out in the caps and the doubles. For some unknown reason Braxton has been lovingly nicknamed “Pinky” and that will be a hard handle to live down – good luck with that Baxter…..Now onto the all important scores and especially Dan Johnson’s…
