Good morning and I guess the cool weather is back with us briefly. One shooting event last week at CCLEOA and two events this week including Buckhorn and Watauga.

I was informed by Hunter Galloway that ATA director Lynn Gipson passed away on Saturday at home. Details will be made available once they are finalized. Please remember his family in your prayers at this time.

This Wednesday the 22nd Buckhorn Gun Club will host a BIG50. Registration at 11 with shooting to begin at noon or earlier. This Saturday the Watauga Gun Club will host a 300-target event with registration at 9 and shooting beginning at 10. Weatheris looking good for both locations so get out and register some targets.

I talked to Georgia ATA delegate Dave Hollingsworth, and he wants everyone that can to attend the shoot. Always a good time at South River and a delicious BBQ meal free on Saturday night. Here is the link for the Georgia State Shoot - https://www.gatrap.com/shoot-calendar/2 ... tate-shoot Mash on the link for the program and good luck if you attend. Then the South Carolina State Shoot - http://nctrap.com/SCshoot.pdf combined with the North Carolina Hall of Fame - http://nctrap.com/HOFProg.pdf - take a look and hope to see some of at the SC/HOF shoot at the NC Homegrounds.

I wrote about Tom Shelley trying to get rid of his Kolar combo a month or so back. Tommy Brown picked it up and sent the trigger off to Kolar for a Stage 2 upgrade. Now that upgrade is not cheap and I had mine upgraded a year or so ago. Tommy has been having some issues with releasing the trigger and has been trying to figure it out. Sunday, he shot four rounds and broke two 24’s with that new trigger. Hopefully he can get back to shooting like he used to!

SC shooter Tom Elbertson is on the mend and will be attending the SC State/HOF shoot week after next. He had a cornea transplant and is looking for to clear and correct vision so he can gobemup at the state shoot!

I hope everyone has a great week and maybe we will get some rain to deal with this pollen. Hello to Scott, Ronnie, Cowboy, Tim, Bobby, Phil, Mac, John, Art, Barron, Mark C, Mark S, Dan, John W, Jimmy D, SPY2, HGIII, Thea and Anne and until next week……smokem
