I hope everyone enjoyed that big snowstorm that hit the Triad. The forecast for next week predicted almost a foot of snow over the weekend and two hours later that forecast was gone. Good old weather folks got it made for sure.

Not much is going on in the area with limited registered shoots and cold weather but that will change. If you are interested in going to the Southern Grand presquad.com is accepting squad assignments and it looks like it is filling up quickly. Almost 50 squads for the first day of singles and they only shoot two events per day due to noise issues. Several NC shooters have signed up including the Galloways and Kevin Biss. It’s a very interesting place to shoot and I hope to get back down there one day.

The NCTA shoot calendar has been updated with Old Hickory events posted. I have included links to both calendars for your viewing pleasure. NCTA shoot calendar - www.nctrap.com/shoots2017.pdf - BIG50 calendar - www.nctrap.com/nc_big50.pdf During the winter months some events might be cancelled due to weather so please check before you travel.

SC shooter Dave Daily made reservations for the SC State/NCHOF shoot and the Holiday Inn was booked up. Hampton has rooms and they are offering a shooter rate according to Dave. I have had good luck with AIRBNB over the years and it looks like another way to stay for the Homeground shoots.

I just realized that I did not post the smoke report for 1/12/206 on TarHeelTrap. Not sure how I missed that, but I will get it put up along with this one. Sometimes the website is not working and my alternative site is TRAPnNC.freeforums.net
Not sure what the long-term future is for the page and only time will tell.

Looks like George Sudderth is doing well with therapy, and his doctor is happy with his progress. Tommy Brown got a great PSA test result and looks like he has got that under control. Please keep the Graham family in your prayers. They are dealing with serious medical issues and need a miracle.

That will do it for this week. It will be interesting to see how the week plays out weather wise and I would like to see about a foot of the white stuff. Hello to Scott, Ronnie, Cowboy, Tim, Bobby, Phil, Mac, John, Art, Barron, Mark C, Mark S, Dan, John W, Jimmy D, Thea and Anne and until next week……smokem
