Torrential rains on Friday....
The state shoot schedule is in full swing and some of our NC youth shooters ventured out to explore the Mississippi State Shoot in Biloxi. With the threat of rain in NC who would think that it would rain on the Gulf of America.
Thursday the full program was able to be completed but that was not the case for Friday. Friday doubles finished but the singles were cancelled and the handicap was relegated to a BIG50….. Saturday the weather was less threatening, and Sunday Barron Church said Connor missed the rain, but Caleb shot a portion of his handicap in the moisture.
I have listed the trophies won by dad Ronald and the two brothers. Caleb mentioned to Dan Johnson that it was the first time all three had won a trophy in the same event and dad was only 5 birds off of Calebs 194 in the championship singles.
Big congrats to all and their support team grandma and grandpa. They will head back to NC and then venture to the Alabama State Shoot held at the South River Gun Club in Georgia a week before the NC State Shoot.
